Apples, pears and plums

In a period of ten days or so the orchards have exploded into life and the blossom is gradually appearing on all the varieties. Bramley apple and Conference pear blossom dominates at the moment and the Laxton Early plum blossom has come and gone.

The dominant sound when the wind drops is that of the bees buzzing away and pollinating furiously, what a wonderful place the slightly overgrown orchard is, perhaps we should get a teepee or a yurt and live in there for the summer.
Just think of the treats that are to come as late spring moves into summer.
