There we were ambling along with the two terriers when we spotted this little gem up above our eye level. A moss garden flourishing in a broken rain gutter on an old and abandoned farm building.
The dam it has created at the end of the collapsed guttering must hold the moisture back and allow it to survive the dry weather while the water hungry moss waits for the next downpour.
Gardening in miniature, there's a theme for a garden in next years Chelsea Flower Show. All very contemplative and Buddhist.
