Sticklebacks galore

The long dyke where we walk the two terriers is teeming with sticklebacks, there are absolutely thousands of them. There are larger fish, medium fish and smaller fish, maybe the smaller fish are young sticklebacks that are freshly hatched; for extra confusion there are light and dark coloured sticklebacks too.
Now they have toads, frogs and newts for company as they gather for the annual spawning and there are a few eels as well. Needless to say the Herons, Egrets and Kingfishers are there too but elusive to photograph.
It's seems it's all happening in the underwater world.
