Mysterious gunshots in the dead of night? It's not a normal bird scarer but a scarecrow shooting party aiming at the kite on the pole that's also there to scare the wood pigeons away.
Obviously the farmer has a sense of humour and a creative side to his personality with this little scarecrow tableau, there are also two more shooting scarecrows in the field.
You could have a bit of a turn on the way home from the pub at closing time if you stumbled on this little group.
