This is the gauge of an old and weathered heating oil tank which is painted in that ubiquitous heritage colour 'Norfolk Bog Door Blue'. The tank is still in use and in need of re-filling if we are going to be able to cope with 'Global Warming'.
With all the lovely warm weather we've been enjoying this probably won't last the summer so the tanker had better be booked in.
It's got a lovely dial face too, none of that digital rubbish; you know just where you stand with a pointer and dial and it's in gallons, not litres.
Maybe this old tank deserves another coat of that lovely blue too.
