First of the season

The first mist filled morning of early autumn and while were walking the Jack Russells what do we see gleaming through the wet grass in the orchard? The bright, shiny white of a tea-plate sized field mushroom.
A shout to the terriers to stop, well we don't want them peeing on it and off she comes, leaving the root ball behind. Then it's carrying the treasure home without damaging it.
      That's today's lunch sorted.
