Andy Campbell's ladle
Another print from the Middlesbrough squad number series.
This time a massive ladle bearing the number 18. The ladles were used in the steelworks to carry molten steel and 18 was Andy Campbell's squad number when he was a Middlesbrough player so that's the link, however tenuous.
The original image is in an old sketchbook from my time at Art School and I still use these books as a reference source even today.
The linocut is printed in five colours on 350gsm Arches88 paper and measures 593mm x 335mm.
