Is it a Crucian?

A calm late summer's evening and a couple of hours fishing for Crucian Carp in the 'man in a gillie suit's' wild pond.
After catching a dozen or so scale perfect Rudd and Roach all went quiet and then a good fish rolled off the hook.
Ten minutes later this fish took the sweetcorn and was finally netted.
There are no Common Carp in the pond at all but this 'Crucian' has just a little of the Common Carp about it. Apparently the lateral line scale count should be 32 to 34 for a Crucian but this one has 36.
Do we care? No we don't.
It was a lovely golden fish and a big one too, even if one of the parents has been playing away.
