Pike and stormy weather

Saturday afternoon and time to to pursue those lovely Fenland Pike again. The weather is changeable to say the least with strong gusty winds and sharp squalls of rain flying past horizontally.

One thing about living and fishing in West Norfolk is that you can see the weather coming and going but even then the capability of the 'weather' to arrive suddenly still surprises. If you just spare a moment to look up from the river and enjoy the stunning widescreen view of the landscape you'll find a vista that keeps constantly changing and distracts from the red float.

Anyway, the diary for the day says four Pike up to ten pounds came to the net and one fish lost, obviously the lost fish would have been the best fish but then that goes without saying. The question now is just what will next week have in store in terms of the fish and of course, the weather.
