The Boss has been busy, as usual, making jams and sauces from the rich resources of the orchard and the greenhouse.
Apple and chilli jelly, sweet chilli sauce, very hot chilli sauce, raspberry gin, plum jam, plum jelly, redcurrant jelly, blackcurrant jam, raspberry jam and apple and mint jelly to name but a few. So, this year, if the family leave us any, we don't care if we get snowed in because we are prepared.
The first year we were here in West Norfolk the Boss made some pickled walnuts and three years on we are about to try them with some of Dr John's Two Rivers ales from just up the road in Denver.
