The giant cocktail stirrer

Another panel of moulded lettering, this time shrouded by trees and at the shady end of a chapel in the South Lincolnshire fenland.
The distressing caused by exposure to the elements for one hundred and ten years seems to have thrown the lettering into even sharper relief although it's a pity that the brickwork at the ridge doesn't seem original. That was probably replaced when the lightning conductor was fitted, the early days of Health and Safety at work.
Before it was fitted everybody obviously wore rubber boots in the Chapel.
The strange thing is the lightning conductor does look a little like a giant cocktail swizzle stick.
