The hot stuff





      The domestic chilli harvest is well underway although not all of the varieties we're growing are ready yet; Big Sun, Joe's Long and Vampire are still to mature whilst the splendid Padron Pepper harvest has long finished.
      The varieties above, listed from top to bottom are, Medina, Sweet Corno di Toro, JalapeƱo, Apache, Orange Cayenne, Medina (again) and Bulgarian Carrot - what a great name that is - and now they're being converted into sweet chilli sauce of varying strengths.
      The sauce will go into the winter cupboard to be raided, and perhaps regretted, by friends and family alike.
