Throw it in the dyke, who cares?

A lay-by in West Norfolk and unfortunately it is next to a dyke so they stop and heave their rubbish into the dyke instead of taking it to the tip: tyres, sacks, plastic, metal, wire, cans, bottles. All-in-all a good cross section of rubbish really. Ah well, out of sight out of mind, it's underwater, who cares?
Well, it's out of sight until the drainage company come along to clean the weed up and clear the dyke, then out it comes onto the brink on the farmer's land. Now it's all his responsibility.
The rest of the dyke is clear, where there is no lay-by there's no rubbish, this is serious fly-tipping and you wonder just how long before something goes into the water that will wipe out a quite considerable fish population and other wildlife.
People are not so lovely when they do this and yes, we care.
