A short afternoon pike fishing session in the sunshine, and to check the estate lake. Two pike caught and lots of snagging in the lily stalks.
The lilies still haven't died back, there are plenty of pads still visible on the surface and beneath the surface it's like fishing into a bramble thicket, with the wobbled roach constantly hanging up on the dense underwater undergrowth.
The only solution to this problem is to keep fishing the drains and rivers until the weather does a little weed cutting for us.
