This is no time of year to be a goose, or a turkey, chicken or duck for that matter. You have to keep a weather eye on the weather and the people who feed you because it could well be that they'll be feeding off you very soon.
The saving grace for this little group is that they are the 'guard dogs' and used as an early warning system should any undesirables turn up.
