Now this is really quite smart but was this church-like building a synagogue, we'd have to assume so although now it is used by an IT company.
When I was taking the picture I asked a few passers by but to a man they hadn't even noticed the decoration or the building and 'haven't a clue my beauty' seemed to be the reply or 'don't care' the attitude.
Do we care? Of course not, it's simply another piece of decoration from an era we love. There were quite a few other pieces of carved decoration on the building but sadly they were even more eroded than the ornamental carving set into the arch above the door.
We'll settle for the carved plaque in that case.
