Red tails in the sunrise

Another wonderful Fenland dawn and this time the Horse's Tails, or Mare's Tails if you like,  provided a really spectacular sight moving rapidly across the sky at forty thousand feet or perhaps they are even higher. The clouds themselves look like giant ice crystals and in reality that is all they are composed of, ice crystals.
Does this mean a few days of high pressure and relatively clear skies accompanied by some hard frosts?
We'll find out in due course as the weather serves up what it wants, when it wants. However we wouldn't mind a few more spectacular dawns like this one.
