Old Father Time would not be very impressed but here are two of the reaper's favourite implements hanging on a barn wall unused and corroding away.
With those straight handles and the long reach we think that these particular implements weren't used for harvesting corn but for cutting reed and tidying the dyke sides in the autumn to keep the drains clear.
Old Father Time clearly hasn't been tramping through this dusty corner but time hasn't stood still, the blackbirds have found time for nest making.
