Old farm buildings and guttering provide the occasional gardener with a scaled down opportunity for minimalist gardening.
An old asbestos roof has a truly Zen touch with its maintenance free moss garden and blocked gutters cease to be a problem because of the burgeoning growth of miniature grasses and lichens. The real bonus is that mother nature does all the work with the wind and birds planting the seeds. The growing medium arrives courtesy of the wind too so all you have to do, like all good creative types, is get your name on the all important 'concept' first of all.
