Jack Pike's sharp end

The mouth of a small Pike of around about four pounds but what a set of teeth are growing in that mouth which is about the size of my hand, even now they could do some damage to your hand and fingers.
The creamy pads on the tongue are yet more teeth and the roof of the mouth is equipped in just the same way.
Now, just imagine a big Pike launching itself at the Roach, Bream and Rudd, if that lot lock on to a fish it would be very lucky to escape without any damage, let alone its life.
Jaws is alive and well in our rivers and lakes and particularly in Fenland.
Under the water the green machine rules, evolution complete.
