Tied-up at the posh end

The Pizza dish ties on the side of our house look a bit lacklustre compared to these mini masterpieces of the blacksmith's art that are set off perfectly by the local stone.
Admittedly we weren't in West Norfolk but on a long range patrol to deepest Rutland, me driving and the boss up in the turret with all the Sahara dust and flies. The blacksmith who wrought the braces really extended his art when he created them for one of the local gentry all those years ago.
Satisfyingly there is a touch of West Norfolk in the photograph because the window has more than a hint of Norfolk Bog Door Blue in the reflected sky.
These ties are all very heraldic looking and beautifully made bracing the walls of what was once a barn.
      Definitely the posh end.
