Hanging on the gallery wall

The Black Path

An early print from a series about the North East and specifically Middlesbrough and the old Iron Workers district, an area that is now long gone swept away by municipal improvement, but The Transporter Bridge is definitely still there. The print is based on an image in a sketch book from the mid-1960's when I was at art school.
'The Black Path' is a linocut and printed in five colours on 300gsm Arches 88 paper and measures 220mm x 280mm. A detail of the print was featured in a previous post about The Terrier Book entitled 'Gadgies and their Jack Russells'.

All of our Jack Russell Terriers, past and present, feature in the Terrier Book in various poses from cadging, to being an exhibitionist and meeting the vicar.
