We were visiting a local farm the other day to buy organic asparagus and globe artichokes, me driving and the boss in the turret, and while the boss was handing over our hard earned cash I noticed this Gruyere Cheese-like Nissen Hut.
What attracted our attention was the constant passage of birds flying at high speed through the holes in the wall above the doors. I don't think they were Sand Martins, although the wall looks a little like a sandbank and despite my best attempts to photograph them they were just far too fast on the in and the out.
Never mind, the asparagus and globe artichokes were delicious and it's good to see the Nissen Hut still has flyers living in it after all these years.
