Rusting in peace

An ageing 50 gallon oil drum, gently rusting and fading away leaving the Castrol name looking like a watermark in the metal.
This vintage item, now pressed into use as an incinerator, was round the back of a Nissen Hut that, in turn, was round the back of some farm buildings. Gradually and imperceptibly the drum is being reclaimed by the West Norfolk landscape.
There were three or four more plain blue 50 gallon drums accompanying this one and at some time they must have had a scrap or return value. Yet more metal items that are part of the great Fenland scrapyard that never gets sold off for scrap but just weathers and rusts away.
In this case with a little help from the flames.
