Scary pediment

There we were on an expedition of the utmost importance driving deep into Cambridgeshire when the boss up in the turret shouts out, 'look at the size of that'. Naturally I ignored her, but she was right, it was huge.
This is the kind of pediment or lintel decoration to impress the neighbours and there is absolutely no doubt about it, it projects an image and an identity.
The building must be an old courthouse and now, almost inevitably, it is some kind of club. Do they need 'door security' outside with that coat of arms?
If that pigeon dares to decorate the lion there will be trouble, maybe it's time for the black head square.
It's a pity about the rather ironic burglar alarm too.
