We've shown this pole before because it's a favourite with the local sparrowhawks, kestrels, pigeons and doves. Although the pole doesn't have to canvass for customers we thought this picture should be added to the photo album as part of its curriculum vitae.
Against the blue sky it looks quite magnificent but it does need a little smartening up. A splash of creosote to scent the West Norfolk air or perhaps one of our favourite heritage colours, Norfolk Bog Door Blue, would tone beautifully with a blue or even a grey sky.
That gives me an idea maybe West Norfolk needs a touch of the Banksy, so for street or urban art, read Countryside or Fen Art instead. Then we'll have coloured poles.
Who's for a spot of pink? Strategically placed of course.
