When the ice man came for the second time we had some fantastic morning walks with the two terriers, and the farmer's Golden Retriever for company along with eye achingly bright sunlight and crystal clear blue skies with not a cloud in sight through all 360 degrees of the horizon. By the time we returned from the walk clouds were appearing far away on the horizon but not in sufficient numbers to make you think that the great blue dome was going to disappear.
Now we're back to the great greyness and the wind is intensifying so it is time to light the fire, make a pot of coffee and have a slice of Christmas cake.
The ice-man will be back.
