A high energy woodcut for February and as always, beautifully cut by the Beggarstaff Brothers although the hand cut typeface isn't up to their usual high standard.
Hare coursing is one of the so called 'country pursuits' that we don't like and thank goodness it is against the law. There are plenty of large fields in West Norfolk with a good hare population and illegal coursing does take place, until the police arrive and they are usually on the scene very quickly.
Meanwhile put all of the ethical issues to one side just enjoy the beautiful woodcut, it's definitely not a load of old 'Jorrocks'.
