Homage to the Bard

      In this case it's Maris Bard and not that other bard, William Shakespeare. A series of cooler evenings and nights have meant that the these beautiful, freshly dug new potatoes are a week or so later this year but the wait really is more than worth it.
      Just like the first asparagus the first meal with these beautiful spuds is eagerly anticipated and for a few weeks it's new potatoes with everything.
      No doubt the graphs measuring the sales of fresh butter will have a great big spike in them too as the Maris Bard, and the other first earlys get the treatment and status that they fully deserve.
      What's for dinner tonight? No, don't tell me, let me guess.
