As a little light relief the Two Terriers present a truly lovely piece of period stained glass.
The owners, when the ubiquitous UPVC front door was fitted, have retained the glass that originally crowned the old door and had it sandwiched into their new double glazing. Neat.
Splendid colours in the glass and a lovely Art Nouveau letterform, all-in-all rather fine and satisfying for a retired typographer to see.
It is a pity that some philistine has given it a good belt and damaged the new double glazing.
Never mind you can't have it all.
