Myrtle and cable

I know we drone on about these wonderful little Victorian architectural details but this is a little cracker. Proper Victorian type that has been hand incised and coloured gold with care, mind you as Ken Dodd would say it's probably been tickled up since the original was built into the brickwork.
The terrace of six houses where it is situated did have two more plaques but somebody, in their wisdom, has ground them back so they are just smooth shields. Why couldn't the cable have been dangled in front of one of them?
Never mind we're happy with Myrtle. Lovely girl.
