The early garlic crop

The very first cropping of the early garlic and the crop is shaping up to be an absolute blinder. Three more bulbs like these are in use in the kitchen and another dozen are in hessian bags being stored in the proverbial cool, dark, place.
We don't know what we did right this year but we suspect it was the home-made compost that we filled the raised beds with and grew the garlic in after planting in October or November. This is Early Purple Wight and we've got two more varieties to crop that are best described as middle and late season crops. It looks like it's going to be a smelly winter.
After the full moon incident this crop looks like a good investment too.
