Onion harvest home

The wonderful season of plenty continues and now we've got enough beautiful onions to last until Christmas, which really is a bonus.
We were going to compost the last of the onion sets but the farmer said he would plant them in a corner of the field that he uses to grow his supply of personal vegetables and, hey presto, a bumper crop. They are all absolute beauties with no sign of neck rot or mildew and the onion globes are as hard as a cricket ball.
Brilliant. Onions that make your eyes water, that really is a bonus.
