Drama in the west

These dramatic skies are getting to be a bit of a routine as the autumn equinox draws closer and, despite the chocolate box drama, we love them.
The two shown here are, as always, the same evening about half an hour apart and how splendid they are. The rain squall at the top completely missed us because it was basically heading south to north so we just got a few spots of rain and the thermonuclear explosion below left us seeing pink spots before our eyes for an hour.
Or on second thoughts maybe that was the wine.

  1. Similar here last night. Wind dropped to nothing, sky black to the east and clear in the west leading to a lovely sunset.
