Foraged treasure in the hedge

The drove at the back of the house is beginning to become a forager's paradise both for birds and for humans.
The hazelnut bushes are laden with nuts and the hawthorns are groaning with berries promising feasts for us and for the birds. The only creature that might get stuck into the nuts before us are the mice but on the three closest bushes there are plenty of nuts to go round.
The hawthorns? If the haws are still there when the the fieldfares and redwings arrive the branches will be stripped bare in a couple of days.
Meanwhile sit back and enjoy the colours
