This intense rainbow appeared late one evening without a single drop of rain falling on us, the garden or even anywhere remotely close.
The sun was low in the west, but not actually setting, and the phenomena appeared within seconds, revealing itself as if it was being painted by a fast moving brush. A second arch almost appeared but never got beyond about twenty per cent of the intensity of the original.
Never mind, the appearance of a rainbow is always a bonus and standing watching one grow and develop always cheers you up.
We're happy with that.
