The magic of mushrooms

The lawn at the front of the house is yielding a bumper crop of fungi this autumn. We don't know if any of them have 'magical properties' and neither of us are volunteering to try them either.
Some are quite colourful with orange and red colouration, some are white and some simply look plain sinister; sort of slimy, grey and mouldy. Like something sliding out of a wall in an M.R.James story. Never mind, they are all part of Mother nature's great tapestry and we should enjoy them for what they are.
I think I can fly, can you? Granny takes a trip.
