Then and ten later

It is about 06.40am, the two Jack Russell Terriers have been turfed out for an early morning pee and the kettle is on. The dawn is beginning to look interesting so out comes the camera for a quick photograph of the developing drama behind our favourite transformer box.
The first photograph is taken and ten minutes later, when the tea has been made and poured, the second photograph is taken of the unfolding drama. Lovely.
The difference between dawn and dusk always fascinates me. The dawn gradually burns itself out as the sun rises and dusk just sinks gently and sleepily into the darkness as if it is completely weary of the day.
      I know how it feels.
