Here's a really weird one.
This is a truly strange name for a small terrace of houses, or 'Villas' as the plaque prefers. 'Kemi Villas', where has that come from? Is it an anagram? Was the builder called Mike and he couldn't spell? Is it a place where the British Army campaigned and that gave it significance to the builder. Or are we back to Finland?
We'll never know but we'll keep on looking. It's just another West Norfolk peculiarity and an unanswered question.
Well it is for the time being anyway.
Certainly not after Kemi Isset, Col U stalwart from the Layer Road days
