The walk with the dogs tends to always take the same formation and it is really thrown into sharp relief on a surprisingly frosty and sunny morning.
To the left is Barney always wanting to be the first to nowhere in particular and to heel is Minnow, the tail gunner, always watching and scanning for vermin in the dyke sides and the fields.
On the lead it's a different matter both of them pulling hard and doing an excellent impersonation of a 'dog on a stick', both wanting to be the first to get to interesting scents. When they do one of them is usually in serious danger of getting their head peed on as the other stakes his or her claim.
Below the 'shadows' are cadging a training treat, or bribe, perhaps me and my shadows would be a better description.
