Garlic's progress

Despite the freezing weather conditions the garlic is growing beautifully in the raised beds that are on the southern side of the house. The garlic in this bed was planted at the beginning of November and has developed into really strong plants. The bulbs that we planted in January are through as little spears and given some warmer weather they will put on a real growth spurt finally catching up the early planted varieties.
We are still eating last years crop but sadly stocks are beginning to dwindle and it will be a real blow when we have to start buying it from the supermarket again. The homegrown bulbs are oilier, richer in flavour and, well, simply so much better.
Obviously we need a bigger plot. Or a polytunnel.
