Well in truth it's the wood face but another fence panel has been lined between the concrete posts with logs large and small and very pretty it looks too. Very Andy Goldsworthy.
This stack is all willow so once it has seasoned it will be great wood to start the fire with once the flames have taken hold of the smaller kindling wood.
Now that we've got a really good stock of wood in and all neatly stacked it will spend the next year seasoning in the sun and wind. Amazingly creatures are already prospecting and viewing the stacks and making their homes in the wood and a Wren has already been sizing up the double stack in front of the shed for nest building purposes.
Let nature take its course we say.
