Cowslip season

Spring has definitely sprung because the sides of the dykes are coated with clumps of Cowslips and what a cheery sight they are nodding away in the sunshine, they're a super shade of yellow too.
The farmer who owns the land never cuts the grass on the track or the dykeside until the seeds have been distributed by the wind and his reward for his patience is a carpet of these jolly and cheerful little flowers. We don't know what the next arrival will be on the plant calendar but that is part of the fun. Buttercups maybe?
All we can say is long may it continue.
