A little bit of letterpress printing history that was discovered in a carrier bag. A mixture of fonts, fractions, ampersands and a very short double rule. Taken as a whole the type and sorts are nothing that you could print anything coherent from but they are interesting, I love the drop shadow capital 'T' and the ampersand. You simply can't beat an ampersand.
Should I do a test printing before I find these odd characters and orphans a good home, now that would seem like a plan to me.
I realise now that print, graphics and mucking about with images could have been something I might have made a go at. Never mind. Things you find in a carrier bag. Ever wayched Operation Good Guys? Perhaps not..
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it but I'd go a different direction in the discipline if I did all over again. Or maybe I'd do something completely different. What is 'Operation Good Guys?'
ReplyDeleteMust be on You Tube, episode involved home made butter, after effects of eating said rancid butter in a carrier bag and the Queen.
ReplyDeleteBB, I will check today. It sounds like a typical Fenland party.
