The lovely tranquil blue sky is back, and it's complete with Simpson's clouds too, down below the sky on terra firma a huge field of spring sown wheat is rapidly maturing, the wheat is already waist high and the heads are colossal, well they are to a layman anyway.
Even the farmer has begrudgingly admitted that it is looking like a bumper crop; mind you that is allowing for the possibility of bad weather, mildew, storms, plague, locust attack and fire, the combine harvester could break down and there's the possibility of the trailers overturning carrying the wheat to the stores.
Who said farmers aren't natural born optimists?
Apologies to farmers everywhere, I forgot about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Silly me.
