Crab apple crop

We're walking the two Jack Russell Terriers with one eye on the hedgerows for free bounty, and there's plenty of it too.
This time it's a quick check on the crab apples and yet again it is shaping up to be a bumper crop from just one tree. This single sapling will give us all we want, or need, and the rest can be left for the birds and animals, I tested one of the crab apples the other day by biting into it, that is definitely not recommended.
Now to check the greengages, golden egg plums and brambles.
