We're well into the season of plenty now and the supply of all of the fresh fruit and vegetables continues unabated.
Hidden in the hedgerows there are the other crops that are quietly and unobtrusively ripening, it's just a matter of keeping your eyes open for foraging harvesting opportunities. Quite close to the house tucked away in a hedgerow there are few hazel bushes that will provide us with a good supply of nuts, well they will if the mice don't get there first.
There also wild crab apples trees growing in the same hedge and the worn out pear trees in some of the orchards will give us a supply of quince, amazingly people in the area do absolutely nothing with these less common fruits; then there are the medlars and figs as well.
The season of plenty continues, and under sunny skies too.
