While we walk the two Jack Russell Terriers around the area we are still finding old, out-of-date and quietly rusting agricultural machinery. This is a rusty old buck rake that looks as if it does get occasional use but for the most part it sits outside in all weathers gradually losing its teeth and really it is simply rotting away, returning to the land you could say. One day it will get connected to some equally ancient tractor and it will just fall apart under the strain.
No matter what we say to the farmers they just don't seem to care about old equipment, its quite strange really because everything has a value and there is no doubt some of this gear could be sold.
But it isn't and that's that.
