Lovely scroll engraving

Well my birthday present arrived late but was it worth waiting for. The lateness was nothing to do with the poor organisation the boss ordered it in plenty of time, in March in fact and it simply had to be made.
Apparently Mr Rizzini himself chooses the Turkish walnut for the stock and forend that has, in turn been patiently shaped, oiled and polished, his engravers have made a beautiful job of finishing off the receivers and in between his gunsmiths have made a fabulous job too.
This week the Rizzini BR552 20 gauge side-by-side will get its first workout against the gangs of marauding pigeons that are annoying some of the farmers I know; I just hope that the weather improves.
Well I don't want to get it wet do I, it's a work of art after all.
