You see the results of brand loyalty working away in the fields of West Norfolk every single day. One farmer prefers Claas and another family have always used Ford, or New Holland as it is now, another family have always bought John Deere and so it continues.
Our farmer neighbour bought a grey Ferguson in the late forties and he has stuck with them even though they are now Massey Ferguson. He has four more in his big shed plus a modern monster that dwarfs the older 'vintage models'.
They were originally bought because of the system that covered everything from trailers to ploughs to harrows and saw-beds.
You see, you have to have a system. It says so on the tin.
